April 27 Lesson

Provision 2025

Provision for the Day

Sunday, April 27, 2025

Discussion Point #1: Sometimes, in the midst of something difficult, the pain feels like too much, and we realize we just have to make it through that one moment. How do we do that?

Matthew 6:34 (AMP) 34So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

John 16:33 (AMP) 33I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world. [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]

We can overcome in that moment and not worry about tomorrow—because sometimes even thinking about tomorrow is too much. These are comforting scriptures: don’t worry; Jesus Himself has overcome the world!

Discussion Point #2: In times of confusion—when we don’t know what choice to make, when it feels like there are no right options, or we can’t trust our own thoughts—what do we do?

Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP) 5Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].

In times of confusion, when we don’t know what to choose or what decisions to make—God knows. We don’t need to rely on ourselves; we need to rely on the Holy Spirit to guide and lead us. It takes the pressure off of us and truly puts it where it belongs.

Discussion Point #3: We know God has got us. We know He is our peace. We know that even when we don’t know what to do, God will guide our decisions. But what about peace? Where do we find peace?

Psalms 46:1-3 (AMP) 1God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. 2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas, 3though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its roaring. Selah

God is that peace. He holds our moment of dire need, our day, our tomorrow. We can get through whatever it is—because He is our peace.

Challenge for the Week: This week, think about whatever is hard for you and give it to God. Even if it’s only one sentence you can say, or just one word—go over the scriptures in this lesson. Here are some more for the week:

Isaiah 9:6 (AMP) 6For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given; And the government shall be upon His shoulder, And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 59:19 19When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

Isaiah 41:10 10So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Nahum 1:7 7The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him…
